Program Objectives:

The Network/Internet Professional program prepares the student for entry-level careers in the Information Technology field. Students are exposed to and work with a variety of operating systems and hardware. These include, but are not limited to, desktop computers and operating systems, network devices and network operating systems, wireless technology and security concepts.


Students learn and practice installation of computer hardware and operating systems. Students also study hardware and operating system configuration and troubleshooting concepts. Students learn and practice basic programming techniques, basic script writing and help desk and end-user support concepts. Lecture topics are reinforced and practiced in a heavily hands-on oriented environment.

This program prepares the student for several industry-standard certification examinations, including, but not limited to, CompTIAs A+ and Network+, and Microsoft’s MCP.

Employment Objectives:

The graduate of this program will develop entry-level skills for employment in positions that include but are not limited to the following:
