Teachers and Counselors

The BTI Difference
Why should you send a high school graduate to BTI? Simply put, we know what employers are looking for. That’s why we tailor our career programs to match the fastest-growing jobs both nationally and locally. We help students find the career that’s the best fit, and provide the necessary support and education to make it happen.
At BTI we believe in a combination of classroom education and hands-on, practical experience. This method encourages students to both learn and apply their knowledge, which we believe is one reason our graduates are employment-ready.
Berks Technical Institute offers a variety of programs that can help students launch their careers in as little as 18-24 months.
Knowing exactly what to do after high school is tough, but we’re with our students every step of the way. Once enrolled, they become part of our family, and their future is important to us.
Credit Transfer
While BTI has transfer agreements with select colleges, it is ultimately the decision of the institution accepting the credits.
Advanced Standing
Applicants may request to challenge classes by taking a challenge exam. Applicants can save up to $3,360 if they pass the challenge exam with a score of 85%.
Find the Right Career
You can help your students determine the right career path. Encourage them to schedule a visit to our campus to take advantage of a career assessment tool called Personality Profile: Understanding Yourself and Others. This analysis can help students define their personality traits, gain a better understanding of themselves and choose the career that best suits them. Contact your BTI High School Representative about scheduling this free analysis; take it yourself to learn more.
Career Services
Our Career Services staff provides students with the necessary tools, skills and confidence they’ll need to succeed, for their first job and beyond. In fact, we believe in staying connected with our students and offer continuous support throughout their entire career.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
We help take the mystery out of Financial Aid by exploring all options available to students based on their eligibility. BTI offers five types of scholarships: President’s, Dean’s, Imagine America, Technology and Pennsylvania New Economy Scholarships.
Tour/Open House
We suggest every guidance counselor and teacher take a tour of BTI. Just contact your BTI High School Representative to set up a visit. For potential students and parents, our Open Houses provide a chance to see the campus and meet other students and faculty. Suggest these to your students; they’re casual and fun and students are welcome to bring a friend. For open houses and other events that are coming up in your area, check out our News & Events. Or, students and their parents can also schedule a tour when it’s most convenient for them by contacting their BTI High School Representative to set up a visit or ask any questions.
Presentation Series
Our professional Presentation Series covers a wide range of topics that will help your students today, and for the rest of their lives. Contact your BTI High School Representative to schedule a time for our representative to visit your classroom.
