Program Objectives
The Accounting program provides training for the person seeking an entry-level career in accounting and bookkeeping with opportunities for advancement to professional levels. Accountants need to be good at work with numbers and concentrating on details. Students gain knowledge of the accounting processes used in governmental, service, and manufacturing environments as well as skills in computerized accounting systems.
Employment Objectives
The graduate of this program may pursue careers as junior accountants, bookkeepers, accounting clerks, billing clerks, and collection workers in virtually every industry including wholesale and retail firms, schools, hospitals physicians’ offices, banks, and governmental agencies.
