Restoration Placement for the EFDA

Berks Technical Institute is proud to host the Restoration Placement for the EFDA training course, delivered by the Pennsylvania Dental Assistants Association. This hands-on workshop equips Expanded Function Dental Assistants (EFDAs) with the foundational skills needed to perform essential restorative procedures in dental practice.

What You’ll Learn

Participants will:

• Recognize the primary matrix systems used in restorative dentistry.
• Identify common materials, instruments, and techniques for successful restorations.
• Demonstrate proper placement, contouring, and finishing of a simple Class II restoration.
• Discuss potential complications EFDAs may encounter during restorative procedures.
